IP-SC15MC Firmware Update: Expanded Features & Enhanced Security

Updated Functionality

• Internal Media File Broadcast
  Users can now upload media files directly to the unit and trigger playback via:
• Local control input
• Remote control commands
• Timer interval, time interval setting between the audio files.

• Audio Check

Allows the speaker to self-check its audio output using its built-in microphone—ensuring consistent performance and reducing maintenance overhead.

• SIP Conversation
  The IP-SC15MC now supports both half-duplex and full-duplex SIP communication. It can initiate or receive SIP calls, allowing seamless two-way conversations with SIP phones or other compatible devices.
• ONVIF Audio Monitoring
  The horn’s microphone can now be activated via VMS (Video Management Software) to monitor audio in real-time. This adds a valuable layer of situational awareness for security teams.
• ONVIF Audio Backchannel
  VMS software can now broadcast audio directly to the speaker output, enabling remote announcements or alerts through ONVIF-compatible systems.
• NAT Settings Update

The speaker now supports NAT Traversal, improving compatibility across different platforms and protocols. Key settings include:

• STUN/TURN server address and port configuration
• TURN server authentication (username and password) This update ensures smoother communication in complex network environments.

• Advanced Security & Certificate Settings

Security has been significantly upgraded:

• HTTPS connections are now more secure, with protection against spoofing.
• Users can choose between Self-Signed Certificates and CA Certificates for secure web access.
• Certificate management is streamlined with options to generate, download, install, or delete certificates directly from the device interface.

•  Improved Remote Control API

The remote control command API has been refined for better usability and integration. This allows developers and integrators to build more responsive and customized control systems around the IP-SC15MC.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1. For Firmware Version V1.5.2 or earlier (Not including V1.0.0_20250725): V2.0.0 is not compatible with Web UI updating. Please contact TOA Technical Support.
2. For Firmware Version V1.0.0_20250725: V2.0.0 can be upgraded through the Web UI.
