Purpose

The church and parish were looking for their service to be delivered audibly in both the spoken word and music. With beautifully painted walls and ceilings, the speakers had to be visually pleasing.

Challenge

There was a lot of reverberation due to the high dome shaped ceilings and overall structure of the building. They needed speakers that directed the sound of the presenter to the audience.

Solution

The team brought in TOA's SR-4 and SR-H Series Line Array Speakers. They set up speaker stands at the front alter, and using a recorded prayer service and a music demonstration, they knocked the socks of the priest and advisor. The Line Arrays are ideal for controlling reverberation. They project sound in a focused direction (straight), which allows the sound to reach the parish with minimal sound bouncing off of the building's structure. Line Arrays are also ideal for the spoken word and provide highly effective communications. Along with the DA250 multichannel amplifier to power the speakers, the overall system worked well and eliminated the previous challenges.

Feedback

The House of Worship was very impressed with TOA's system and quickly observed the difference in sound intelligibility. The believed their audience would now be more engaged.
