Purpose
With average yearly passengers easily surpassing the tens of millions, this busy airport is a hub for moving people and goods across the country, continent, and globe. GTA's focus is to grow Toronto Pearson's status as an international gateway, enhancing customer experiences, safety, security and the success of their partners. Having a paging system that is intelligible was necessary for the airport.
Challenge
The existing paging system just couldn't keep up with the grow and business of the airport, and as such had become insufficient for many reasons. The airport has high ceilings, high ambient noise (escalators, moving sidewalks, luggage carousels), and often crowds of people.
Solution
An upgrade of the existing paging system was installed throughout the majority of Terminal 3. Many of TOA's F122C Wide Dispersion Ceiling Speakers were installed. Toronto Pearson Airport now provided excellent sound coverage and intelligibility, thus enhancing the customer's experience, safety and security.
