ONroute is the operating brand name of Host Kilmer Service Centres (HKSC), a Canadian service company which operates highway rest areas along Highway 400 and Highway 401 in the province of Ontario. There are currently over 20 locations.

Purpose

The Ontario Government invested in infrastructure and created these state of the art service centres to serve motorists across the province. TOA was specified for all locations with some type of audio system blend.

Challenge

Finding the right design and speaker combination for each locations with many of them being different sizes and different building structure. The system design needed to ensure that all areas of the facilities enjoyed quality sound their customers can hear.

Solution

The integrator used a variety of speakers and mixer/amplifiers to provide a solution for each facility. It is important to have great sounding speakers and amplifiers to guarantee the best possible in-store music experience.

Feedback

The resulting sound in the different zones, such as lobby, entrance and washroom, was outstanding and created a good atmosphere for visitors.
