
MUN Core Science Building, St. John's, NL
Memorial University of Newfoundland's new Core Science Facility addresses the Faculty of Science’s growth needs with a state-of-the-art research, laboratory, and teaching facility. The five-story, 440,000 ft² Core Science Facility houses modern research and teaching facilities, wet and dry laboratories, and office administration areas to support advanced fundamental and applied research.
Purpose
This building, which would become the largest in Newfoundland, required wireless microphones for various meetings and conference rooms.
Challenge
The challenge was convincing the project and procurement manager that our microphone systems would perform to the standards required for such an important facility.
Solution
Competition was robust, however after enlightening the managers on the quality and reliability along with documents on performance, they chose TOA’s 5000 series.
Feedback
The performance of the microphones was appreciated by the building staff, and they noted as being "very happy' with the new system.
