Mount Allison University is a Canadian primarily undergraduate liberal arts and sciences university located in Sackville, New Brunswick, founded in 1839. The university prides itself on its high percentage of graduating students moving on to graduate programs or professional schools such as law and medicine.
This project saw facilitators looking to renovate their gymnasium, and with it provide a brand-new audio system and head-end. In addition to updating the dated hardware, the school was also aiming to noticeably elevate the quality of sound delivered in comparison to the existing system.
Budget consciousness was the most major point of consideration for the project, as this was part of a larger renovation, the audio would need to be sourced without breaking the bank.
Working together with the project’s engineer, the solution designed for this project included a suite of TOA products. With our M-9000M2 as the head-end, the sound is directed towards our DA series amps and HX-5 array speakers. For functions and applications that require the human touch, our 5000 UHF wireless series was implemented to allow for accessible and clear wireless speech throughout the gym.
As per the project’s engineer, dealer, and end-user, all parties are very happy with the ease of implementation from end to end on this project. The school specifically noted that is very happy with its new system.
