Purpose

The purpose of this project was to install a public announcement system that would blend into the street’s architecture and clearly inform all citizens of any prominent announcements.

Challenges

There were two primary challenges this project faced, first of which being that the desired system needed to blend with existing architecture as to not create an eyesore. The  second challenge would be that whatever the chosen system would be, it needed to be capable of delivering clear sound in outdoor environments, whilst also carrying the durability to withstand Canadian weather throughout the year.

Solution

A simple solution consisting of TOA SC-615T horns alongside BG Series amplifiers provided the range, clarity, and power needed to ensure that all individuals within the area would be informed of important notices as they are shared. The system was also color-matched to the posts to ensure it blended with existing architecture while delivering clear announcements to pedestrians and businesses lining the street.

Feedback

The system blends well and delivers clear announcements. With its weather rating, it’s prepared for anything Canadian seasons throw its way.
