Purpose
The objective of this project was to implement a reliable paging and communication system capable of delivering announcements throughout the facility. The system needed to support both day-to-day operational communications and important facility-wide messaging while ensuring clear, intelligible audio for staff, residents, and visitors.
Challenge
As a new build for a long-term care environment, the facility required a solution capable of serving multiple paging zones while maintaining consistent audio coverage throughout resident rooms, common areas, corridors, and support spaces. The system also needed to provide flexible routing options for targeted announcements while retaining the ability to broadcast messages facility-wide when necessary.
Solution
Our IP-A1 Series was selected to provide a modern, IP-based paging solution tailored to the needs of the facility—tying into desired SIP phone infrastructure. Leveraging a combination of IP paging gateways, audio interfaces, amplifiers, and ceiling speakers, the system allows staff to efficiently distribute announcements to specific areas or throughout the entire building as required.
The network-based architecture provides flexibility and scalability while simplifying system management. Distributed ceiling speakers ensure clear and consistent audio coverage throughout the residence, helping staff communicate important information quickly and effectively while supporting a safe and connected environment for residents and caregivers alike.
Feedback
The completed paging system provides this new build at Maple Villa with reliable communication capabilities across the facility, supporting both routine operations and broader announcements. The flexible zoning and facility-wide paging functionality ensure staff can effectively communicate with residents and colleagues while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that has defined Maple Villa for more than five decades.
