James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre is one of two acute care referral centres in the central region. It provides a wide variety of emergency, acute care and specialized medical services. It has about 85 acute care beds, and offers a number of specialty services. 

Purpose

JPM hospital constructed a new pharmacy for the community and they required a secure door access, along with a BGM system for the atmosphere within the pharmacy.

Challenge

The door access need to be touchless, it was essential to keep staff and customers safe from cross contamination or pass on viruses. The Hospital also wanted a system that was within budget.

Solution

For the BGM system, TOA recommended the cost effective PC-580 speakers powered by the reliable and easy to use BG amplifier. For the door access, TOA provide the Exchange interface and master station, and utilized a 3rd part wave sensor that integrated well with the N-8000. Now with a wave of the hand the door would open.

Feedback

The installation went well and everything worked as it should. The cost came under budget, and the customer was happy two times.
