Purpose
The conversion of the former warehouse to a new Sikh Temple was a large undertaking and required a sound system to provide worshipers clear intelligible sound and excellent coverage for the entire open space.
Challenge
During the design for the audio solution the TOA team realized that the main challenges was the reverberation of sound caused by hard surfaces and very tall ceilings of 12 feet.
Solution
The solution began by using different speakers when modeling in the EASE software to get the most effective speakers while specifying the beset location for even sound. The HX-7 speakers with subwoofers were selected. Speakers were hung from the ceiling and time delayed to provide articulate sound in all areas of the meeting room.
Feedback
When the Temple was completed and the sound system tested if was clearly acknowledged that the sound was very intelligible from all areas. They were very happy with the results.
