GGH is a dynamic, comprehensive acute care facility providing a full range of services to the 200,000 residents of Guelph and Wellington County. Services. The building is 330, 000 square feet and contains a total of 182 beds and about 1600 staff.

Purpose

The Guelph Hospital required additional intercom equipment to and integration to the current N-8000 series intercom. The new part of the facility required proper communication for staff.

Challenge

The main challenge was understanding the blueprint to the new area and integrate the new N-8000 equipment. Part of this task included the review and revise the current system to ensure the equipment in place was correct and working well so that the integration would be seamless.

Solution

TOA was condent in the integration and the design they provide for the new section. By adding a few more intercom exchanges and a bunch of strategically placed N-8000 master stations, the solution was fairly straight forward.

Feedback

The system and its versatility is working well and the sta and management are very happy with the performance and the cost of the project.
