Purpose

The city run Gage Park Greenhouse felt that their current audio system was operating poorly and decide to search for new equipment to provide better sound for music and announcements, additionally they desired a system that also provided paging capability to all corners of the building.

Challenge

The greenhouse as expected, was filled with a variety of plants and flowers which create the challenge of where to install the speakers without disrupting the foliage. After assessing the building design, TOA equipment was placed in areas where the audio would provide full coverage. Also, the a-frame ceiling was a point of focus, with challenges to ensure that sound reverberation would minimized through directed sound.

Solution

The combination of the M-900MK2 mixer with the reliable DA250FH amplifier and F1300BT box speakers was able to perform the requested tasks the city required. The audio system easily integrated with the paging equipment that was already in place.

Feedback

Once the project was installed and tested the facility manager was very pleased with the systems performance.
