Purpose

DSW was in need of a high quality sound system for the store that allowed them to have paging and background music heard throughout their large store. It needed to be easy to use for the employees.

Challenge

This project has very familiar challenges that had been seen before when installing TOA equipment in large, warehouse-like, store facilities. The building had a very large sales floor and high open ceilings.

Solution

When designing the right solution for DSW, the TOA tech team filed the project with high quality pendant speakers from the ceilings which used a wide range speaker dispersion to cover the floor comfortably. The speakers were powered by the TOA A724 amplifier and the paging system utilized TOA's PM-660U Paging Microphone. The combination of equipment and design drawing using EASE software resulted in an excellent clear and intelligible sound.

Feedback

DSW was very happy with the resulting sound and felt at ease with the solution and were confident that everyone in the store would be able to hear paging and music clearly.
