Deer Lake Regional Airport, Deer Lake, Newfoundland
Deer Lake Regional Airport is located 35.6 km; northeast of Deer Lake. It is the second busiest airport on Newfoundland after St. John's International Airport, serving 300,000 passengers annually. Deer Lake Airport serves a large area of Newfoundland, from the Great Northern Peninsula to Channel-Port aux Basques.
Purpose
The airport wanted to update their Paging and Intercom systems. Having previously used TOA products, authorities at Deer Lake Regional Airport presented a clear preference towards working with us once again, again utilizing the newest and best products TOA had to offer.
Challenge
With the bulk of the groundwork completed in the previous installation, there was no real challenge for this project as the framework was already in place. The TOA design team worked closely with integrators to ensure this project was as frictionless as possible.
Solution
Using the reliable N-8000 IP intercom system along with the correct amp and speakers, ensured that the communications requirements were met and that the sound quality was intelligible throughout the facility.
Feedback
The end result was a new, reliable, and high-performing system that the airport authority was ecstatic with.
