The campus, located in the heart of Toronto, caters to grade 5-12 students. The facility includes the main building with classrooms, administration, auditorium, gymnasium and chapel. The complex also has an outdoor area with all purposes field, and tennis courts.
The school did not have an audio system outside to deliver public address to their students or provide emergency announcements and tones when required.
They searched for a system that provided powerful and intelligible audio, and at the same time strong enough to operate in the harsh weather of Canadian winters. They also wanted the speakers to be installed on the school’s steeple.
TOA recommended one of our newer products; the CS761, 2-way horn speakers that were water resistant, IP66-rated, and could handle cold weather. With the proper mounting brackets, the integrator easily installed the CS-761s on the required location. Closer to the ground around the building, water-resistant 30W CS-304 were used for their robust design and powerful audio distribution. The speakers were all powered the TOA’s 240 W, P-924MK2.
The sound projected from these new speakers ticked all the boxes, announcements were loud and were easily heard all around the building. The student body and staff appreciated the new system's clear communication.
