 The complex is equipped with a recreational pool, 2 indoor pools comprising a total of 18 swimming lanes, an outdoor pool, a dojo for judo lessons and competitions, a training room, an infirmary, and administrative offices.

Purpose

The aquatic complex required a Public Address System for the pool areas as well as a general paging system for the rest of the building. The system needed to be crystal clear and be controlled from multiple locations for easy access by multiple people.

Challenge

With this large facility's variety of room sizes, in combination with the angled walls and high ceilings, reverberation was the primary obstacle that TOA had to tackle. 

Solution

TOA’s design team delivered a spec that ensured speakers were placed is appropriate locations and angles to minimize reverberation and create clear lines for audio distribution. Utilizing adjustable HX-5 array speakers powered by our DA amplifier and audio enhanced by the dsp created an intelligible audio for announcements and music.

Feedback

The final audio system was approved and tested with raving reviews from facility management. The audio was clear, and reverberation was almost unnoticeable.
