Big Marble Go Centre formerly The Family Leisure Center is a hub of empowerment, catering to all aspects of well-being - social, emotional, mental, and physical. It provides a diverse range of health and lifestyle options for people of all ages, from individuals to families and entire communities. Located in the north end of the city, it is the largest indoor sports facility, spanning 90,000 sq. ft. It boasts an Olympic-sized ice rink, a 50m pool, waterslide, diving platforms, kiddies pool, wave pool, and a café.

Purpose

Big Marble Go Centre was on the lookout for a fresh sound system to cater to different areas of their massive 90,000 sq. ft. space, which includes arenas and common areas. They needed a background music setup and a top-notch paging system to make announcements throughout the entire building.

Challenge

The center had already set up a system, but they weren't satisfied with the sound quality. The sound was echoing throughout the building, making it difficult for visitors to hear clearly. They were mindful of their budget and wanted to ensure they were investing in top-notch equipment.

Solution

TOA and the installer worked together to assess the entire system, including the speakers and head end boxes, in order to determine the best approach for the job. After the assessment, it was concluded that the current amplifier and mixer were functioning well. As a result, the focus shifted towards upgrading the old speakers to newer and more efficient TOA speakers. TOA specifically recommended the F-Series wide dispersion speakers and PC-580 speakers, which are designed for paging. Additionally, a few HS-1500BT Coaxial Array Speaker Systems were added to provide some extra power. The combination of these speakers significantly improved the sound quality and created a fantastic background music (BGM) experience for the visitors.

The end user couldn't contain their happiness as the entire system operated flawlessly and the new sound quality was simply amazing.
