Founded in 2016 the company has been brewing beer on a contract basis with a focus on farmhouse and sour ales. The 16,500 sq-ft brewery will feature a 50hl brewing system, retail store, 80-person tap room, 85-person beer garden, and 3 acres of hop yard.

Purpose

During construction of all the buildings at Bench Brewery, they needed to install audio systems that would play background music in all parts of the buildings and also a notification and paging system so that announcements can be heard by all customers and staff clearly.

Challenge

The brewery had a couple of buildings attached to each other which included the brewery, restaurant and storage area. The spaces were all difference sizes, shaped unusually and had trick wall and ceiling contours. The challenge was to create sound systems that were intelligible with the confines of the structure.

Solution

TOA, working with the installer, recommended the F-2322C Wide-Dispersion Ceiling Speaker in areas where the ceilings were relatively flat, like the storage area, and then the F-1300BTWP Wide-dispersion Speaker System for the rest of the building, because they can be manipulated to fit areas that might be cramped or oddly shaped.
