Fredericton International Airport, located in Lincoln, New Brunswick, Canada, is situated southeast of Fredericton. The airport is designated as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is operated by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officials at this airport are capable of processing aircraft with a maximum of 140 passengers, which can be offloaded in stages.

Purpose

The airport was in need of a dependable and long-lasting intercom system to enhance communication and security across the airport. Additionally, a complete overhaul of the airport's audio and paging system was necessary to not only improve clarity, but also increase the number of locations where staff could make announcements.

Challenges

TOA had the task of creating a comprehensive plan for the airport, which included multiple access points, paging systems, and door entry equipment. The plan had to be cost-effective by utilizing the existing wiring and cabling, while also being user-friendly and easy to understand.

TOA collaborated with the customer to create a customized plan that perfectly catered to their requirements.
