Purpose
Hospital Centre-De-La-Mauricie felt it was time to update the entire hospital paging system. It was important to them to have the ability to have different paging zones, full system mute override for emergency announcement and other typical paging system functions. They want the IP intercom system to be the back bone of the PA with add on equipment to fill in the other functions.
Challenge
The engineers of the project had very specific needs to adapt to the size of the hospital and the needs of the staff. TOA was up against other intercom manufacturers and needed to have our our design team to demonstrate our capabilities. TOA also needed to showcase the performance of our speakers and how they would be ideal in a hospital environment.
Solution
Our design team’s proposal which include the IP intercom system and PA speakers closely matched the needs of the engineering firm. TOA’s N-8000 system was capable ot meeting paging requirement and the speakers, placed in the right manner would intelligible cover the hospital area. The other bonus was that the N-8000 equipment would take up less rack space.
Feedback
The integration of the IP intercom system and the audio speakers for the entire hospital went very smoothly. The clarity of public announcements is very tangible by staff, and management is very happy with the results.
