Purpose
The center opened its doors for the first time in the late 90s, after a successful fundraising campaign held within the community. But after over two decades of service by the original audio system, our clients believed it was time for an upgrade. The RVCC required a brand new sound system, capable of handling internal communications, background music, events, and more...
Challenge
This sound system overhaul was not without its obstacles, first being that the RVCC is a non-profit operated public recreation space, meaning budget was at the forefront of design considerations. Additionally, zone paging was a very desirable function to our clients over at the RVCC, creating an added layer of intricacy for the final design and implementation.
Solution
With these desires in mind, designers and installers worked diligently to produce a solution that would check all the boxes that the RVCC requested without breaking the bank. To tackle the desired zone paging, TOA’s M-8080D Digital Matrix Mixer was installed, ensuring accurate and crisp paging to
dedicated zones throughout the building. Both the HS-1500 and the F-2000 deliver quality sound with ample coverage, ensuring that no zone goes without music, and that attendees can hear any and all announcements.
Feedback
Visitors to the RVCC can hear the quality of the TOA sound system for themselves! Whether it’s the music being played during public skating sessions and other recreational activities, announcements for events or hockey games, or internal communications to community members. With the modularity and customizability of the new TOA system in place, current and future generations of members in the Grand Bay-Westfield community will be treated to quality sound for many more years to come.
