Purpose
A hub for school events, assemblies, and sports, Polson Park’s gymnasium sound system was in need of an upgrade. Clear, high-quality audio was at the top of their desires for this project, so that whether its announcements, music, or larger events, every student and staff member can hear what’s happening clearly.
Challenge
This project posed little challenge for the design team, affording audio experts ample opportunity on adjustments made to the design to ensure that the project would excel within the space for all given objectives and use cases.
Solution
TOA’s sound solution included a variety of microphone options, ensuring that users would have options available to them for each of the desired use cases. For mixing and amplification, our M-633D mixer and DA-250 power amps were chosen to be the heart of this system, with the M-633D eliminating unpleasant reverberation and feedback to deliver clear, highly articulate sound at the touch of a button, and the DA series combining high levels of performance and efficiency in an energy-efficient and space-saving package. All of which then being projected by our HX-5 series of speakers.
Feedback
The team at Polson Park was thoroughly impressed with the outstanding sound quality delivered by the new system. Its crisp, clear audio ensures that every announcement, speech, and event, as well as day-to-day usage is heard with clarity, making it a perfect addition to the school.
