Purpose
Desiring to upgrade the background music system at this Long-Term Care (LTC) home, facilitators desired to enhance the overall auditory environment for residents, staff, and visitors. With the goal of creating a calming and engaging atmosphere, this new system would elevate resident well-being by reducing stress, fostering relaxation, and supporting social interactions.
Challenge
The primary challenge was the need to send a variety of music sources to different resident rooms on a one-to-one basis, ensuring that each resident could enjoy their preferred audio content without interference. This required a flexible, scalable system capable of independently managing numerous audio streams while maintaining ease of use for staff.
Solution
To address Kipling Acres LTC’s need for individualized music distribution, the M-8080D series was implemented alongside our F-Series ceiling speakers to provide full control over audio sources and volume on a per-room basis. From the nursing desk, staff can easily manage source selection and adjust volume levels for each resident room via the M-8080D's user-friendly touchscreen interface. Each room is equipped with its own dedicated amplifier and speaker, ensuring maximum flexibility and personalized audio experiences for residents.
