Purpose

Management at the Xerox center wanted to enhance the paging system across the entire research center, with additional features over the previous system including the ability for zone paging and message repeating. The old system was old and became increasingly difficult for employees to use as it had operational issues.

Challenge

The primary challenge of this installation involved tackling the sheer size of the project itself, the building was very large and included many sections. The integrator needed to ensure the paging solution would carry sound throughout the building and that the programming on the amp and repeater was set up properly.

Solution

After removing the old system and ensuring the TOA solution easily connected to the speakers, the A-9240 amplifier and EV-20R sound repeater were programmed to the specification of management’s needs. Everything worked well.

Feedback

Xerox was extremely satisfied with the new paging system, as it not only eliminated operational issues that plagued the previous system but now offered more customization options and features.
