Purpose

A continuation of our past projects with NSCC, this new campus required a mass notification solution to ensure that students and faculty within the campus always have access to clear and intelligible communications. The bright, beautiful new space includes a cultural commons area, an open atrium with seating for studying and socializing, and a cafeteria (all of which requiring a reliable sound solution to deliver announcements, communications, and other aural notifications).

Challenge

Having worked with the facilitators before for projects on other campuses, this project was a breeze from end to end! This project’s streamlined nature exemplifies why TOA was hard spec’d into this project just as it is with many across the country!

Solution

To provide clear and reliable communications across the different spaces in the campus, several TOA speakers were chosen. For larger spaces with higher ceilings, our pendant series served as the optimal choice. Whereas in the more traditional educative spaces as well as hallways, our PC series was chosen for its performance and traditional form factor. At the heart of this system is our VM-3000 Voice Notification/Evacuation System. A cost-effective integrated public address and voice alarm system, the VM-300 is designed for high-quality audio broadcasting in various small to medium-sized applications (such as schools, shopping centers, or restaurants).

As stated earlier, there’s good reason why TOA is hard spec’d into projects like these, we’re overjoyed to be able to take part in another successful NSCC MNS system, and look forward to our system benefitting future scholars and faculty of the campus for many years to come!
