Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, ON
The Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Ontario is a major national museum of military history, covering Canada's military past from earliest times to the present day.
Purpose
The Canadian War Museum was looking for a new public address system to improve its ability to communicate with visitors and employees. The new system needed to produce clear sound and be easy to use while meeting their budget.
Challenge
Whilst the installation itself went quite seamlessly, a major challenge for this installation was the time crunch that had preceded it. TOA and the installer needed to ensure the new PA system was installed by a certain time.
Solution
Regarding what products best fit the project, TOA recommended using the VM 200 mass notification system along with speakers and projection speakers for wider coverage. Powerful amplifiers were also installed to give it more power. The project was designed quickly with in-stock products to meet the time constraints.
Feedback
With the expedited timeline met, the museum was extremely happy with the speed and performance of the finalized project and the products involved.
