Barry Taylor - 25 Years of Service

February 2010: Yasu Takahashi, President & CEO of TOA Canada Corporation,  was very pleased to present Barry Taylor (Regional Sales Manager – Prairies) with a Service Award for 25 Years of Service with TOA Canada Corporation. "Barry Taylor is a dedicated, loyal employee and TOA Canada is honoured to have Barry on our team. Congratulations on 25 years of service." commented Mr. Takahashi.

Barry started his career with TOA in February 1985, while TOA Canada was under the umbrella of TOA Electronics, Inc. During this time, TOA had a sales office in Alberta, which included a warehouse. In 1990, TOA Canada Corporation was incorporated and became TOA’s Canadian subsidiary, moving the head office & warehouse to Mississauga, Ontario, where it still resides today.

Barry reflects on his 25 years with TOA

Over the 25 years I have seen many changes. Many new and very innovative products, from the first Digital Consuls, Digital Processor (SAORI), that evolved into some of the current Digital Matrix Mixers we have today like the 9000M2 series and the new D-2000 series.

In the area of speakers we have seen the development of incredible Wide Dispersion speakers, including; the F Series and H Series Ceiling and Wall speakers. The HX-5 Variable Dispersion speakers, and a wide range of Line Array Speaker Systems that include the SR-S4L/S, the SR-H type, C type and the new SR-T5 GYM speaker, and TOA’s largest Line Array the SR-A Series.

The wireless products have evolved from the old 30 MHz, to VHF, UHF and now the IR Microphones and Conference Systems.

I have seen the EXES, IC-100, and the VS-900 used in many communication applications and now the newly expanded N-8000 IP Network Intercom, will continue to create new sales and merge the old systems and integrate the CCTV product we sell.

Overall, it has been just phenomenal, meeting and working with all off our associates over the last 25 years and I am looking forward to many more.

TOA Canada Corporation also awarded Kyla Werrett (Marketing Coordinator) a service award for 5 years of service.

Kyla is responsible for the coordination of all of TOA’s marketing activities including; communication between TOA’s customer base, product updates, website, price lists, brochures, advertising, newsletters and event coordination.

TOA Canada would like to congratulate Barry and Kyla for their successful years with TOA and thank them for their hard work and dedication to TOA Canada.
