Purpose

The Mental Health University Institute of Quebec was in need of a secure door access solution with SIP capabilities, camera view to assess individual entering and ability to unlock doors from master station.

Challenge

There were no big challenges during the selection process, the institute had requirements that needed to be filled regarding the key features of the door access equipment and a budget to maintain. 

Solution

The University chose TOA’s N-SP80 SIP intercom system that provided a high definition image of the person at the door, along with clear audio from the door station with acoustic echo canceller and anti vandal function. The master station had a large 7-inch touch screen with a large address book. The system also offered system configuration through a web browser.  

Feedback

The institution was very happy of the performance and easy to use functions. The SIP compatibility with other equipment made the addition of the SIP intercom well worth the investment.
