Purpose

The university was undergoing renovations and needed a temporary lecture hall for presentations. After choosing Convocation Hall for the location, they searched for a flexible audio system to deliver clear and intelligible throughout the large space.

Challenge

The challenges for this solution were covering a large room with quality sound and creating a solution that could be moved after the hall was no longer used as a temporary presentation space

Solution

TOA designed a portable system by utilizing HX-5’s on stands on the stage at the front of the hall. Additionally, a FB-120 subwoofer was combined with each of the compact array speaker‘s and all powered by our powerful DA amplifier. The directivity of the HX-5’s were adjusted to produce the best sound field that could be heard all the way to the back of the room.
